A bike computer is an instrument that is mounted on a bike that shows and calculates the trip information. It is similar to the speedometer/odometer seen on the dashboard of a car. The device is mounted on the handlebar so that it is easily visible to the rider. The bike computer device is also known as cyclocomputer. There are numerous versions to it, the basic models show standard details such as the speed, trip distance, and time, whereas, the advanced models can track complex data such as calories burned, energy level, water percentage, heart rate, and navigation. The cyclocomputer comes with various sensors with the help of which the device can track the details such as speed or cadence sensor, heart-rate sensor for monitoring the riders heart-rate and rear wheel sensor. The cyclocomputer devices are traditionally used by cycle riders for tracking the speed, maps, and other details which do not come along with the cycle.

Increase in health-consciousness among individuals is a major factor which helps drive the growth of the bike computer market.
