A coated fabric is a fabric which is covered, treated, or coated with various substances to make it more elastic, weather resistant, stronger, and longer lasting. Polymer fabric coating material is most commonly used because it has superior fabric strength and resistance to water, oil, and dirt. Coated fabrics are used in various applications such as roofing, medical, furniture, and transportation and are more durable and flexible compared to normal fabrics due to features like better elasticity, water resistance, and thermal insulation. Coated fabric is popular due to its durable, abrasion, UV resistant, and waterproof properties. Moreover, owing to impermeability, corrosion resistance, and oil & dirt resistance, the product has high demand for usage as marine covers, roof protectors, awning pool covers, and tarpaulins.
