Orbital Spaceflight Market Outlook – 2027

An orbital spaceflight, also known as the orbital flight, is a spaceflight in which the spacecraft is placed on a trajectory such that it could remain in space for at least one complete orbit. To attain this around the earth, the spacecraft must be on a free trajectory having a high altitude at perigee around 80 kilometers.  This boundary of space is decided by NASA. In addition, to remain in the orbit, this altitude requires an orbital speed of 7.8 km/s. However, the orbital speed is slower for higher orbits, it requires a greater delta to attain them. Due to the atmospheric drag, the lowest altitude can complete at least one full revolution of 150 kilometers without propulsion.
