Paperboard is a thick paper based material made up of compressed layer of paper pulp. Its generic name is cardboard. Retailers and product manufacturers largely used paperboards for their packaging purpose. It’s easy-to-open and re-close packaging designs provides benefits to both retailers and end users. In addition, it is environmentally friendly and can be recycled. Retailers and product manufacturers also experience great benefits from paperboard packaging. On the retail shelf, it can be stacked, stored and viewed effectively. The most important properties of paperboard, which drives the market are its recyclability, renewability and sustainability. The white line chip board (WLC) is a multi layer board consisting of 60 to 100 % of recycled fiber. In addition to that, its packaging cost is very less. Therefore, it is largely used in personal care, toiletries, food, garments and health care industries.
