It is an inert, synthetic amorphous, non-toxic, odorless, and white colored compound. It is an acidic salt comprising sodium, oxygen, silicon, and aluminum. It has the ability to absorb excess moisture content. Sodium aluminum silicates are used in the production of lacquers, waterborne & solvent-based paints, and printing inks. It acts as effective extenders for titanium oxide in paint applications.
