Soy-based adhesive is a glue that is made with soy flour and a cross linking resin. The resin reacts with a protein in soy flour forming a water-resistant durable adhesive that is comparable in strength and performance with the petroleum-based adhesive. Soy-based adhesive is widely applicable across many industries due to its low cost, low emission, and bio-based origin. It works under extreme pressure conditions, as a result it is also called pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is non-reactive and perform only when pressure is applied.
