Over the years, there has been a significant increase in adoption of eMMCs, owing to their features such as high storage capacity, faster speed, and low-cost. Electronic devices including smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, digital watches, and others have created a huge demand for eMMCs, due to its feature such as faster processing capability, high scalability, reliability, and others. An embedded multimedia card comprises three components, namely, multimedia card (MMC) interface, flash memory, and flash memory controller. It is an integrated package of flash memory and a flash memory controller combined on a silicon die. Growth in sale of smartphones and requirement for integrated memory in mobile computing devices are the major factors driving the market growth.
